Lower Intermediate Indonesian - CEFR B1

Lower Intermediate Indonesian (B1) is designed for those who are ready to explore slightly more complex yet commonly used language structures and expressions through authentic conversations, mini stories, and readings. We incorporate grammar structures used in both formal and informal Indonesian, depending on the context. Our goal is for you to understand these structures when you hear them and to speak naturally, without sounding rigid or awkward.

Level Description

After finishing this lower Intermediate Indonesian course, you should be able to:

  • understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
  • deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
  • produce simple connected text on topics, which are familiar, or of personal interest.
  • describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
