In this Intermediate Bahasa Indonesia course or ‘Menengah 1’, you will start learning formal Indonesian through authentic texts, videos, and audios. You will begin to understand the grammatical structures used in formal Indonesian and how they change in informal settings. Therefore, you will recognize Indonesian grammar in both contexts when you hear them, but your speaking will not be rigid and awkward.
Some topics that we will cover in this course include employment, entertainment, education, health services, and Indonesian culture.
For our Indonesian proficiency leveling, we use Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) as our guideline. Here is the level description for Intermediate Bahasa Indonesia Course (Menengah 1) or B1.
