Intermediate Indonesian - CEFR B1+

Intermediate Indonesian level bridges the gap between lower Intermediate and more advanced language use, focusing on increasing fluency and expanding your ability to handle diverse real-life situations. At B1+, you’ll refine your understanding of key grammar structures while learning to use more varied vocabulary and expressions naturally in conversations. This level introduces moderately complex topics such as employment, entertainment, education, health services, and Indonesian culture

Level Description

For our Indonesian proficiency leveling, we use Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) as our guideline. After finishing this intermediate Indonesian course, you should be able to:

  • understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
  • deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
  • produce simple connected text on topics, which are familiar, or of personal interest.
  • describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

Prerequisite

To take this course you need to complete the lower intermediate level or have sufficient score on our Indonesian Placement Test.

Duration

It takes approximately 30–60 hours to complete this level. Group or distance learning classes might take longer, as you are not exposed to the language as much compared to in-person private classes. You can start with an hourly package of 30 hours and extend it as needed.
