Elementary Indonesian - CEFR A2
Elementary Indonesian or A2 based on common Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is designed for you to continue your Indonesian learning journey to the next level. Most of the contents of this course is still considered colloquial Indonesian. The topics are still taken from daily settings such as shopping, weather, people's descriptions, health, and so on. You will also be introduced to semi formal Indonesian in the form of simplified authentic articles.
Level Description
After finishing this elementary Indonesian course, you should be able to:
- understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
- communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
- describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
Prerequisite
This is not an entry level course, you will need to finish our Beginner course or have a sufficient score on our placement test here.
Duration
It takes approximately 30–60 hours to complete this level. Group or distance learning classes might take longer, as you are not exposed to the language as much compared to in-person private classes. You can start with an hourly package of 30 hours and extend it as needed.
